DODGE
This is one of my favourite pieces on my portfolio that I've done at SAE, a pop track composed, produced and recorded, mixed and mastered by myself featuring a local pop singer, ZACHARY. Created in October of 2018, DODGE has been influenced by Indie Pop Artists such as The Knocks, Busted and Daft Punk.
RIVER OF LIGHT
The River Of Light project is something that I worked on in around July of 2019 as a primary recording engineer. I was contacted by Brisbane Festival to record for this project and worked with local Indigenous artists and voice actors to help create a multimedia storytelling piece, which is expected to be seen by over 50,000 people. The show runs 4 times a night throughout the month of September, and involved me using both soft skills working with other industry professionals and also technical skills to record Indigenous instrumentation. The raw audio of the project hasn't been released to me yet for confidential reasons but uploads have since been posted online of it live.
APOLLO
Apollo is more of an Experimental project for me which was done so in order for me to be able to experiment with both live and electronic elements, with drums that have been recorded live (and heavily edited for timing purposes) as well as guitars, however produced much like my other electronic / pop tracks. Apollo is not designed to be a standalone track but was rather created to be sample library type music in which an Animation student, Cayden Finn used in his showcase reel. Inspirations have been taken from artists such as Two Door Cinema Club and M83.
HAUS OF DIZZY COMMERCIAL
For this project I created a short backing track in collaboration with some film students to create an advertisement for Haus Of Dizzy, an Indigenous Jewellery company based in Melbourne, Australia. This advertisement was for their pride line of products and from an audio perspective is intended to convey an 'energetic yet glamourous' feeling.
CASTLEVANIA SOUND REPLACEMENT
For this project, we were assigned to take a pre-existing clip, mute the volume and create the sounds from scratch. In a group of myself and 2 others, Justin Dando and Tom Meo, we created foley elements, atmospheres and worked with voice actors to do dialogue replacement. I was also the primary composer and producer of the backing track for this piece.
MOONLIGHT
Moonlight is a 'Cloud Rap' Single created by myself with a local rap artist. The track is an extended version of a concept previously written by myself in late 2016, but turned into a full track with heavy influences of Soundcloud Rap artists such as Bladee and Yung Lean.
PURE EVOLUTION
PURE EVOLUTION is an interdisciplinary piece that was created as a group project between Audio, Film, Graphic Design and Animation. The project was formed by myself and Titus Alley, a film student that I work closely with and am in the process of creating a short audio / visual film piece with. Heavily inspired by the PC Music and Bubblegum Pop styles of music, PURE EVOLUTION is a track and music video framed as an advertisement for a fake medication that will rid all of your problems, despite being filled with toxic chemicals. The video, released under the alias of DJ SHARON comments on consumerism and ideas of how perfection is framed in the media despite the corruptions that lie beneath the surface. The piece from an audio stance is supposed to be a blend of over the top, bright sparkly sounds and mixing mixed with corrupted glitch synth elements.
ARCTIC SOUND REPLACEMENT
The Arctic Sound Replacement is a post production task I did in my 5th Trimester at SAE. We were given a muted video file of the trailer for the 2018 film 'Arctic' and some assets such as dialogue recordings to repair and edit into the mix. This project was done with myself and another student within a 3 week timeframe to record all foley, mix and master to -13LUFS and with a 5.1 Surround Sound version.
INTIMACY EP
INTIMACY is an EP that I created with a local R&B vocalist which is me exploring further into dark, experimental and industrial sounds while still maintaining a pop sound. The tracks were heavily inspired by artists such as The Weeknd, Ozzie, Teflon Sega and NAV. Created in the winter seasons, the EP has sound design crafted to connote a cold and desolate, yet sensual sound. The EP cover was created by a Graphic Design student, Jack Nicholson, who created a modern oil painting type hybrid artwork to fit the tones of the tracks. Aesthetic inspiration had been taken from cologne and perfume commercials and therefore each of the tracks have been named after popular fragrances. These are two of the key tracks from the EP.
LIMERANCE
These are two tracks that I collaborated on with Thomas Costello (Thomas) for his EP Limerance which he recently released this year. I worked on two tracks, primarily on "Feel Great" as a co-producer but did additional production on "Dog Boy". I created a few of the synth and drum elements in "Feel Great" but did mostly only drum elements on "Dog Boy"

BONNIE DOONS RECORDING
This is an example of my earlier styles of mixing and mastering with an Indie Rock Band called The Bonnie Doons. This was also recorded as a group project but was however individually mixed.
